Get to know Functional: David
David has no traditional IT background – he studied Biomedical Engineering. He joined functional as a trainee Cloud Data Engineer and is learning fast with the support of a great team.
Hi, I'm David.
I have started out as a trainee Cloud Data Engineer at Functional, and unlike some others, I don’t have a background in IT. I studied Biomedical Engineering in Lübeck. In my previous job, I have mainly been responsible for project management.
From what I have seen so far, the team is great. They are super experienced and really supportive. I am still catching up on a lot of IT-related topics, and I am working with my mentor and colleagues to close the gap. I am doing this by working on actual and specific tasks.
Outside of work
In my free time, I like to go for a run, ride my gravel bike, play volleyball and sometimes surf on the Baltic Sea.
