Java, IoT, and a passion for constructive Error Culture

Hi, I'm Christian-Oliver – Christian for short.

I started at functional on 1st of January 2025 and I am very much looking forward to new challenges. I love learning something new every day, which is what this job is predestined for - and so am I :-)

My background

I have been working with Java almost since I started my apprenticeship in 2004. When I was finished I also studied computer science. I worked with Java Spring in Content Management Systems and with common Java frameworks, became an Oracle database administrator, performed data transfers from Oracle to MS SQL and implemented customer requirements in Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central. I created ETL / ELT processes and cubes with SSIS and SSAS. I love sharing my knowledge, which is why I also became an instructor according to AEVO. Finally, I got stuck with IOT and am very interested in the IT environment in the industry and worked in projects with kubernetes and docker compose to provide AI-supported predictive maintenance.

What drives me

I enjoy working in a constructive environment where people come together to create sustainable solutions. For me, a constructive error culture is the basis of successful relationships and projects.

Outside Work

In my spare time I decorate our home with self-made or at least self-customized furniture. :) But above all, I spend time with my family.
